IGBERE
IGBERE is a Village in Abia State, a Kindred of the Igbos in the Eastern part of Nigeria, located 66 miles from Aba, the major Commercial and Industrial City of the State.
Igbere is under the States Bende local government, bordering these Villages; Item, Alayi, Ozuitem, and Abiriba. Igbere has its own unique accent in Igbo dialects and 13 Autonomous Communities namely: Agbo, Eziama, Amaukwu, Amakpo, Amankalu, Ibinanta, Amaofufe, Ibinaukwu, Umuisi, Okafia, Ohumuola, Amaoji, and Amaiyi. Each Community is rule by a King.
Igbere is also, rich in Culture, Lifestyle, and Traditions like; Igbere Age grade, Ijedinma Woman Cultural Dance, Ezumezu Festival (where most of our lifestyles are on display), Retirement Ceremonies (commonly known as Igboto Mma) etc.
